Round up…tiny vases for tiny flowers

Want to know one of my favorite Spring happenings? My two kiddos excitedly surprising me with the first of many fistfuls of blooming weeds. And the giftings go on through the spring and summer much to this mama’s delight!

Weeds just don’t look like weeds when they have been so lovingly gathered and so proudly presented with beaming smiles.

Last year I made this tiny cluster vase just for the purpose of holding these fistfuls. Often kid-clipped cuttings are too short for the normal vase. So a mini vase is just the perfect thing. I made mine as three attached vessels. The smallest being only 2″ tall and largest at about 4″. Perfect for tiny clippings by tiny hands.

This little vase is about the most used ceramic item I’ve ever made (just behind our set of dishes).

IF you have access to a pottery studio, this is very simple to make. But in case not, I thought it would be interesting to see what similar items can be found online. Focusing on a tiny tiny size with a relatively small price tag.

Tiny vase with attached magnet by Enidtraisman. Imagine a cluster of these on your frig! ($7.25)

White pear-shaped vase from Orson & Blake ($15)

A pretty little textured beauty by Jonathan Adler ($26)

The adorable bird vases can be found at Graham and Green (though I don’t know if they ship international).

Urban Outfitters’ Stalagmite Vase would hold lots of little bouquets for just $16.
